About

JENNY PARENO

A little about my journey to my massage practice. I’ve always been fascinated by the human body and its ability to heal itself. As an avid runner for many years, I am always drawn to the endurance sports, and the effects that they can have on our bodies. When I trained for my first triathlon, I developed chronic pain in my legs and back. Desperate to find relief, I sought out a massage therapist who specialized in working with athletes. The massage therapist not only helped alleviate this pain, but also taught me about the importance of self-care and the power of touch to promote healing. This experience sparked a deep interest in the healing arts for me, and I knew that I wanted to become a massage therapist myself. I began to study massage therapy at Esalen Institute and quickly discovered that massage is not only a powerful tool for healing physical pain, but also a way to connect with others on a deeper level. As I studied and practiced, I also began to explore the spiritual aspect of massage therapy. I realized that the power of touch could not only heal the body, but also the mind and spirit. I felt a deep sense of purpose in my work and knew that I was meant to help others in this way. After completing my training, I opened my own practice in San Luis Obispo. I enjoyed seeing clients from different walks of life. I feel blessed as I continue in my journey to be able to offer a safe place, listen fully without judgement, and having the capacity to hold space with compassion. My heart is full knowing that I am making a difference in the lives of others.
